Glashütte Original announces the Senator Excellence Perptual Calendar and Panorama Date Moon Phase

The Senator Excellence collection from Glashütte Original, first introduced in 2016, epitomizes the fusion of classical refinement and modern design in watchmaking. Handcrafted with precision, these watches are timeless additions to any attire, blending tradition with modern aesthetics. Recently, the collection expanded with four new models: two variants of the Perpetual Calendar and two featuring the Panorama Date and moon phase.

These watches result from meticulous design and engineering, aiming to achieve top-notch stability, accuracy, longevity, and aesthetic appeal. Each watch undergoes a rigorous 24-day testing process, ensuring unparalleled quality. The Senator Excellence line offers diverse styles, including the striking Perpetual Calendar, a moon phase model, and simpler designs with Panorama Date or basic three-hand displays. The latest additions include two Perpetual Calendar variations and two new models with Panorama Date and moon phase functions, enhancing the collection’s brilliance.

The perpetual calendar and moon phase are among watchmaking’s most challenging and visually stunning features. They are seamlessly integrated into the Senator Excellence line, known for its sophisticated and clear presentation. Available in either satin-brushed/polished red gold or stainless steel, the new models feature fine-grained dials that create a harmonious background for the displays.

The red gold model boasts a galvanic silver dial with ivory accents, while the stainless steel version has a galvanic grey dial and blue elements. Additionally, solid gold applied indexes add a touch of luxury, complemented by the textured dial and hand-mounted indexes that create a captivating depth. The watches are paired with straps in brown nubuck leather, dark blue fabric, or blue Louisiana alligator leather, thoughtfully chosen to match the watch colours.

These watches house the advanced Calibre 36, celebrated for its technical excellence, offering over 100 hours of power reserve and an antimagnetic silicon balance spring. The new models feature specially designed skeletonized rotors with the Double-G logo and a 21-carat gold oscillating mass, allowing for a splendid view of the intricately decorated movement and its hand-engraved balance cock.
